What TrustedLocals is, and how a request moves through it.
TrustedLocals is a routing and verification service for home services. It reviews companies against a stated vetting standard, records one active territory assignment per service category, and routes matched homeowner requests to the assigned company.
How a request moves
- 01Request
A homeowner submits a service request with the category, location, and job details.
- 02Match
The request is matched to a territory and service category record.
- 03Route
Where the territory has an active assignment, it is sent to that company. Where it does not, TrustedLocals receives it and arranges a licensed, insured specialist.
- 04Record
The request, and any review from a completed booking, stays on the TrustedLocals record.
A matched request goes to the assigned company. It is not sold to competing companies, and it is not distributed to a bidding pool.
Operating rules
- One active assignment
- Each territory holds at most one active company assignment per service category at a time. A territory with no assignment is published as open or on a waitlist.
- Public territory status
- Territory status is published. Anyone can see whether a territory is open, claimed, or on a waitlist.
- Verification fields shown when backed
- License number, insurance carrier, and similar fields appear only when a supporting record exists. Otherwise the field is not shown.
- Ratings from completed bookings
- A rating appears only when reviews tied to completed TrustedLocals bookings exist for that territory.
- Current market
- Los Angeles is the current launch market. Categories and territories outside it are not represented as covered.
